I think it would be better just to say you are health conscious or aware. Why label? Plus, if its in the DSM III, its a psychological diagnosis.

YAY!!!!!!!!
Celebrating with you your full self-expression!!!!!!
If we don't say "no" to what does not work for us, how can we be sure that our "yes" is genuine and in integrity with our essence?
I love you,
Marcelle

Thank you so much for your response on my blog, Steven! I've been so busy with rehearsals with my daughter that I haven't done anything with my blog lately - pardon the delay responding.

To address your question about how I upped my mileage fairly quickly, I believe I actually went up a little too fast. It was gradual and it felt great, but because I was in minimalist shoes (my Vibram FiveFingers Classics) and barefoot, I got a few injuries. One super common injury is what some people call Top of the Foot Pain. It's painful, as the name implies, and has stopped me from running a number of times. So take things sloooooowly.

If you haven't already seen this site, you might like this minimalist/barefoot forum: http://groups.google.com/group/huaraches/topics

I'm delighted that you and your dad are considering going vegan! You might find that your body responds really well, depending on what you eat. You know, chips and sodas are vegan - but they don't make a healthy diet. I hope you consider being as plant-based as possible (as opposed to cooked, processed, sugary, etc.).

Best wishes to you!

~Caity

Hi,
I've been interested in bf running and was wondering how you managed in just a few months to go from minutes to 7 miles bf (or in vff's)? What was your schedule like for upping your mileage? ?Best of luck to you. My dad and I might be going vegan to give it a try (he's a workoutaholic also) to see if we like it. You website has been a huge help. Thanks so much.

Caity,

I LOVE that you did this project... and I'm thrilled that you found my videos helpful (thanks for the pointer to them). Kids are naturals at this.

-Steven

p.s. can I mention that in addition to the "how to make huaraches" videos, I have huaraches kits at www.InvisibleShoe.com ?
